Century 21 is known for being the hot spot to buy high end designer pieces for a deep discounted price. But did you know that at one point in time Century 21 also offered plus sizes in store? Yup! It’s been years since they got rid of their plus size department. In an effort to be more size inclusive, Century 21 has re-launched their plus size department. You can now shop Century 21 plus size clothing online.
What Happened To Century 21 Plus Size Department
Back in my late teens and early 20’s, Century 21 use to be one of my favorite spots to shop for plus size clothing. I remember going to the big Century 21 store in downtown Manhattan aka the financial district to see what designer pieces I could find. During that time Century 21 had plus size designers like Lafayette 148, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Michael Kors, and Marina Rinaldi.
On a good day I would discover some European brands I had never heard of before, as well as a few off brand designers. Then one day out of the blue, they just stopped offering plus size options in store with no explanation. Curvy women were left googling does Century 21 offer plus sizes, just to try and figure out what happened.
Century 21 Revamps Their Brand To Be More Size Inclusive
Within the past two years Century 21 has been revamping their entire brand. We are seeing fashion filled commercials, influencer collaborations, more store openings, and their online presence is growing. In case you didn’t know, you can shop Century 21 online. So, it makes sense as to why they would want to revisit the plus size market. They were doing it when it wasn’t popular. Especially since there is an outcry for representation and more fashion options for plus size women.
I was already a fan of the brand back in the day so I had to check out the new plus size department online. Since the plus size department re-launched this week, there are about 90 items available online as of today. Just by doing a quick scroll, you’ll notice that there are pieces from Rachel Rachel Roy plus, Eloquii, Madewell plus, and DL1961. There area few stylish options from Max Studio and Philosophy. Everything is up to 65% off. The sizes range from 0X-3X and up to a size 24.
This Rachel Rachel Roy plus size trench coat use to be $199 and now that bad boy is $29.99 on Century 21.
Then there’s this Eloquii pomegranite blazer (which I own already) discounted at 55%.
You’ll also find a satin midi skirt by the Vanity Room for 54% off the retail price.
Then there’s a Madewell plus size striped tee for $19.99
If you’re looking for a spring jumpsuit, checkout this Rachel Rachel Roy plus size striped jumpsuit. It’s 80% off the retail price.
They even have Levi’s plus size clothing. I found this classic Levi’s denim jacket.
