Classic Style:
Stories by Kelly Osborne | Lane Bryant | Violeta by Mango
These silhouettes are perfect for work and not as constricting as a traditional sheath dress or pencil skirt. I am in love with the prints from Kelly Osborne’s collection and I have already purchased Lane Bryant’s color block shirt dress* and the color blocking really makes it a stand out. Violeta by Mango’s Satin Edge dress is super chic and can be worn later after work. As it gets colder you can wear these beauties without stockings, then with tights and even a nice leather-look legging.
(*Tip: size up if you are hippy)
Fun Prints:
Simply Be | Target | BB Dakota
The thing I love about prints are that they really make any outfit fun. For sleeveless styles like Simply Be and BB Dakota, add a blazer or sweater when it gets colder. Target’s printed shirt dress is perfect for that day when you have to head into the office during rain or snow.
Short Sleeves and Simple:
DKYNC | Target
Two of my favorite colors are orange and olive both of these are work appropriate for work and play. Like sleeveless dresses, you will need to add a blazer or sweater when the temps get lower.
Fit Tips:
*If your dress has full buttons, make sure you try it on and SIT DOWN in it – maybe you can tuck in a regular shirt if the buttons are too tight, but when the buttons go the length of the dress you’ll see everything.
*Watch out for the fabric used on the dress – obviously this is easier when you purchase in store, but buying online look out for fabric details. Usually shirt dresses have very little stretch, so you may find yourself sizing up to accomodate for your needs.

Amen to sitting down when you try the dress on! *shudders at bad memories*
