Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Last week, Canadian brand, Joe Fresh announced they will be adding plus sizes up to a size 22/3X. Joe Fresh joins a group of retail brands like Puma and Nike who are adding plus sizes. We will begin to see the styles this upcoming fall season starting August 11th. Currently, Joe Fresh goes up to a size 14/16 but the cuts are very straight and narrow. With the new extended sizes, plus size women will now have the option to shop the retailer. Not sure why they stopped at a 22 instead of a 24/26. Nevertheless, its good that they finally realized the power of the plus size dollar.
Joe Fresh president Ian Freedman had this to say about adding plus sizes, “We are thrilled to expand our womenswear line and now offer a selection of our favorite styles in extended sizes,” “As our brand continues to evolve, we are committed to providing customers with products that suit their needs while delivering the same style and value.”
You can go on the site right now to see a few photos of what the plus size clothes will look like. Its looks as if the same pieces in the straight sizes will be available in plus. They tapped model Tara Lynn as the front woman for the new plus size selections. The plus size pieces are a medley of floral and leopard print dresses and tops, as well as double breasted jackets, and trouser pants..
At first glance it looks like some of the styles are a little simple and basic with trendy details like ruffles, and cutout shoulders. However, there is a snazzy double breasted sleeveless jacket that looks chic.
You’ll be able to shop Joe Fresh Plus Sizes on August 11th. Check it out HERE
What are your thoughts on the pieces so far? Are you feeling them?
