Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Leave it to Lane Bryant one of the oldest plus size brands to push the envelope when it comes to plus size fashion and body positive movements. After the success of I’m No Angel, Lane Bryant decided to go one step further and take out an ad in Vogue magazine with no brand logo and just one simple phrase, #PLUSISEQUAL. While many wondered for weeks, what in the heck the motto and trending hashtag meant, on September 14th, LB showed the world that plus size women are equal and deserving of positive representation in mainstream media and in the fashion industry.
Smack in the middle of New York Times Square Lane Bryant held their #PLUSISEQUAL event which featured models such as AShley Graham, tv personality Wendy Williams, and celebrity stylist Brad Goreski. LB had a band, a performance by Pretty Bog Movement which is a team of plus size dancers, and they had the support of plus size bloggers, all out in Times Square promoting a time for change.
Of course SC was there showing our support. I attended the event wearing my #PLUSISEQUAL t-shirt.
