Hey curvy girls all over the world,
When life throws you lemons, make lemonade. That’s the motto I had to take on over the past couple of weeks. Being a mom and entrepreneur you have to learn how to juggle multiple things at one time and find balance. Sometimes both roles can collide and you have to know how to adapt and make the best decisions. Sometimes I run into child care issues where I have a baby sitter scheduled and then they cancel at the last minute. Leaving me to pass up on opportunities.
Just last week that happened to me. I really didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity so I called my contact and asked if I could bring my son with me. Thankfully they said yes. I could’ve panicked and been angry and frustrated but instead I chose to figure out other options. I chose to make lemonade out of lemons and I did it in a cute pleated maxi skirt and leopard print top.
Boohoo Top, Lane Bryant Skirt, Loft Sandals, Marc Jacobs Tote
Now, normally I don’t wear maxi skirts. I just started getting into maxi dresses. However, when I saw this bright golden yellow pleated skirt from Lane Bryant, there was no doubt in my mind that I needed it.
All summer, I have been into rocking a top knot because its just too darn hot for hair on my neck. I thought the top knot looked chic with the leopard print top from Boohoo. I also went for warm gold eyeshadow and a bright pink lip. For a little extra flair I wore a pair of drop earrings.
I love how this skirt can be worn casual or even dressed up with heels. I kept it casual with a pair of flat sandals for taking on the streets of NYC.
Tell me how do you handle things when life throws you lemons?

You rock lemonade! When life gives me lemons I do everything in my power to live for me.
