Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Meghan Trainor Pulls “Me Too” Video
“All About That Bass” singer, Meghan Trainor has been part of the body positive movement ever since she hit the scene with her hit song. Meghan has partnered with brands like Full Beauty in support of women being able to love their bodies. So, it’s quite surprising to hear that the singer was a victim of a photoshop scandal for her very own video for her new song, “Me Too.” The Grammy award winner went on social media yesterday to blast the editors of her music video for altering the size of her waist. Essentially making her body look slimmer. Now Meghan is not a big girl to begin with, so I don’t even understand why it was necessary to make her look smaller.
Meghan told USA Today that, “I saw fans posting it and was like, ‘Why are fans ruining my waist? Are you kidding?’. Then I went to the video and was like, ‘Oh my god.’ I texted the editors like, ‘I never asked you to touch my waist. I want my waist back.’”
Meghan responded by pulling the video and here’s what she told her fans, “Hey guys, I took down the ‘Me Too’ video because they Photoshopped the crap out of me, and I’m so sick of it, and I’m over it. My waist is not that teeny. I had a bomb waist that night. I don’t know why they didn’t like my waist. I didn’t approve that video, and it went out to the world. So I’m embarrassed.”
There were reports that Meghan approved the video before it was released but she didn’t approve the cut that was released. She also posted on her Instagram the before and after shots of the Photoshop video. The photo on the left is the Photoshop video and the photo on the right is the untouched video.
Meghan promised her fans a new video for the “Me Too” song.
What are your thoughts on the Photoshop scandal? Do you think this was a plot to get press or nah?

I start liking her. The body is also her image so if it doesn’t exist, it’s not Meghan Trainor anymore. Thank you for sharing the article.
