Jumpsuits are a good transitional piece from summer to fall and vice versa. I’ve always had a love hate relationship with them. Mostly I love them but I dislike that you have to get naked to use the bathroom when you wear them. However, when you find the perfect flattering jumpsuits for your body type, its worth it.
Not Your Basic Plus Size Jumpsuits
This fall season I’m all over jumpsuits and have found a few statement styles. One jumpsuit particulart that I fell in love with was a black mesh overlay jumpsuit. I have been looking to incorporate more black into my wardrobe. Ya’ll know I love color. But sometimes I just want an all black outfit that gives off a chic vibe with a smidge of edginess.
So, when I found this black jumpsuit I got excited because it wasn’t a basic jumpsuit. It has chiffon detailing around the yoke and a mesh overlay around the waist. Plus the wide leg pant and jersey material made this jumpsuit flattering for my body type.
I snagged this chic piece from Lane Bryant.
To give it a bit of edginess I added a classic black moto jacket. Which I also got from Lane Bryant. In addition, I paired it with snakeskin printed sandals and a pair of silver drop earrings also from Lane Bryant.

I love how the mesh overlay looks when the wind blows. And the jersey stretch material made the jumpsuit uber comfy to walk around in. This is the type of jumpsuit that will be in my closet for all seasons. When the weather warms up I cans just added a pair of pointed toe boots. I can even layer a turtleneck under it.
While this black jumpsuit was one of my favorites from Lane Bryant. I also found quite a few more flattering plus size jumpsuits at Lane Bryant. Checkout my top picks below.
