Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Every year many of us make that get fit New Years resolution. The truth is, we only keep up with it for about a week. Then, the next thing you know, you’re at the nearest McDonald’s or Chipotle going ham. I know I’ve been guilty of it for years. However, this year, I’m determined to make some changes to my lifestyle and getting healthy and fit is truly one of those changes that I want to make. As a plus size woman, people think that all we do is sit around and eat cakes and pies all day. That couldn’t be further from the truth as I illustrated in my Don’t Believe The Hype, plus size women do workout, article.
In order for me to make the healthy lifestyle change, working out is necessary and actually something I enjoy doing. The struggle for me is the process of going to the gym. Once I’m there, I’m ready to go hard and get it in. Now, when I go to the gym, normally, I throw on an oversize shirt and some leggings. I’ve never really worn real workout clothes. Mainly because a lot of plus size workout gear has been a snooze and not worth my coins. Well, things have changed. This year, plus size brands are not playing any games. They’re coming through with plus size activewear you would want to wear even if you’re not going to the gym.
Today, I rounded up 3 brands who have launched new plus size activewear collections that are not only functional but stylish.
Lane Bryant
You have to give credit to Lane Bryant for always pushing the envelope and elevating their brand to appease plus size women. Early this month LB launched their new LIVI Activewear campaign and it didn’t feature models. It featured real women who don’t have hourglass figures.
The campaign features Yoga teacher Jessamyn Stanley, Triathlete Krista Henderson, Choreographer Jesse Diaz, hoop star and body activist Julie Henderson. Lane Bryant’s Livi Active collection offers cooling no-wire sports bra’s, tank tops, leggings, and hoodies.

Also, might I add how banging Jordyn looks in the campaign.
