Before you know it, it’s going to be 70 degrees and the sun will shine till 7pm. And we all know that signifies spring has arrived. Until that time comes, let’s break down what some of the top 2025 spring Fashion trends are. This way, we can get our wardrobes in order and filled with pieces we actually want to wear.

As the adage goes, everything old is new again. And this spring fashion season is no different. We are seeing trends like polka dots and athleisure from spring 2024 return this year. Which means you can save a few coins if you already own these trends. However, there are a few refreshing trends that are worth trying and incorporating into your spring wardrobe.
As an editor who attends New York Fashion Week every season, I’ve found that not all runway trends transition to retail. While I may recognize some consistent fashion themes among designers, it doesn’t mean retail buyers think those looks would work for their customers.
Fashion lovers today want clothes that are wearable, versatile, and don’t look outdated. They are heavily influenced by street style, celebrities, social media, and content creators.
And when it comes to plus sizes, it can be difficult to shop current trends. Especially, since plus size fashion is regressing. Nonetheless, we are going to show you where to shop these plus sizes.
Spring 2025 Fashion Trends In Plus Sizes
STRIPE OVERLOAD
One of the most classic prints has made a return. Stripes are at the top of the trend list this season thanks to designers like Chanel, Proenza Schouler, and Stella McCartney. Even in his resort 2024 collection, designer Christopher John Rogers played with different variations of colorful stripes. On their 2025 spring runways, we saw a medley of bold and preppy nautical stripes. We loved the pink and yellow striped romper Chanel sent down the runway. And Proenza kept it all business with a striped suit.

SOFT PINKS
There are quite a few color trends for spring. Back in December of 2024, Pantone announced that mocha mousse is the color of 2025. It’s a beautiful color and all, but honestly, I’m seeing more pastel pinks from designers and retailers for spring 2025. Think powder pink, blush pink, and petal pink. And think of these shades as a neutral.
Light colors are not a new concept for spring but it is refreshing. For the past couple of years, spring colors have been more rich and bold. Remember “Barbie Pink?” This season, the colors are softer. And we can appreciate a more demure palette.
Designers like Ferragamo featured a bevy of pink wrap dresses and ballerina style leotards to oversized clutches on their spring 25 runway. While Alai went fashion forward with balloon skirts and sexy cutouts in pastel pinks.

POLKA DOTS

Still going strong, polka dots are back for another spring season. In 2024 they were low-key trending. Now, we are really going to see them everywhere. Jacquemus and Nina Ricci did a beautiful job showcasing bold polka dot billowy dresses and matching sets. Which I took as a sign to go all out with the print. And not be afraid to stand out. A print this timeless deserves to be worn with confidence.

BOHEMIAN CHIC

Get ready to tap into your boho side this spring season. There’s a lot of dreamy sheer 70’s inspired pieces that designers like Chloe and Fendi featured in their spring 2025 runway shows. Nobody does boho chic like Chloe. They just get it. And when it comes to this aesthetic there are a few key pieces that you need to pull it off.
If you’re going to adopt the bohemian goddess look, then get you a flowy sheer maxi dress. You can go simple and sleek or find one with ruffled details. Also go for embroidered or billowy floral pieces when it comes to tops and skirts.

WOVEN SHOES

There are a slew of shoe trends for spring 2025 but the one that sticks out the most to me is woven shoes. They’re refreshing and scream spring and summer. And there are so many fun styles to elevate your spring plus size outfits. We can thank Stella McCartney, Chloe, and Gabriela Hearst for this trend. Think of them as the perfect warm weather and vacation shoe.
