Universal Standard and ERDEM
For the past few years Universal Standard has been making ground breaking moves to truly create size inclusive pieces. First, they’re the only brand that offers sizes 00-40 in every single piece. This was unheard of and revolutionary. In addition to their expansive size offerings, they’ve done collaborations with designers like Rodarte. They even did a collaboration with J. Crew and Adidas. So, its safe to say they know how to push boundaries when it comes to size inclusivity.
This month Universal Standard has partnered with independent fashion house ERDEM. This iconic collaboration is all about style for everyone. ERDEM says, The collaboration is proof that unifying fashion can be done beautifully when style, not size, is the only focus.
Alexandra Waldman, Co-Founder & Chief Creative Officer of Universal Standard says, “Access for all doesn’t end with us. Together with ERDEM, we aim to change the way fashion looks at all of us and the way we look back.”
Universal Standard And ERDEM Collection
The ERDEM X Universal Standard collection consists of 8-pieces and focuses heavily on florals and denim. All of the pieces are made with quality fabrics that make each piece look high end. Some of the standout styles are a denim jumpsuit with easy front buttons, goldenrod color topstitiching, and an encased elastic waistband.
For those of you who love spring florals, you’ll like the primrose ruffle shirt dress. Its made from cotton sateen with ruffles throughout the sleeves.
Prices for the collection range from $120-$198. You can shop each piece from a size 00-40. The cool thing about Universal Standard is that you’re able to see how each piece looks on different sizes.
Designer collaborations like this is essential to the advancement of plus size fashion. Especially when done right. For decades plus size women have been trying to get designers and brands to see that style has no size. It has been an ongoing journey and within the past 10 years we have seen progress. And Universal Standard has been part of the change we now see.
You can shop the collection now at Universal Standard.
