Work From Home Outfits
While I’m no stranger to working from home, I have been a bit uninspired to put on real clothes. Yes! I might just invest in anything that could help me work faster – such as long lumbar cushions (lumbar dйcor pillos in Spanish), an ergonomic chair or upgrade my internet plan to a better and faster one. But working from home has been turned by an inner diva into Plain Jane! Yeah I know, working from home does not always entail a superfast internet connection (similar to epb internet and the likes) and unending work calls, but also needs us to put some effort into our clothing choices! Knowing that my outside time is limited due to the pandemic, all I wear are leggings and t-shirts to run errands. As an influencer I feel like its always my job to look put together. Even in a virtual meeting. This month my goal was to pick up a few pieces that I could create casual yet professional work from outfits.
Leveling Up My Work From Home Outfits
Since we are embarking upon warmer months my eyes have been drawn to lighter fabrics. To level up my work from home outfits, I need pieces that can work double duty. In addition, I need pieces casual enough for home but stylish enough to wear outside. Recently I spied a very sleek and stylish striped linen jacket and matching pants set from Catherine’s. I thought it would be perfect to create multiple outfits with. Also the stripe linen set gives off a polished casual vibe.
Typically, I’m not a fan of linen. It’s like who wants to look wrinkle all the time. However, printed linen is a little better. The stripes will help blur out the wrinkles and creases. LOL! This set fits perfect. The pants have elastic in the back of the waist and they fall ankle length on my 5ft 7in frame. These pants could totally be dressed up with heels and a sexy top. I love that the jacket has a relaxed fit. It’s going to look great with jeans and sandals.
What makes this the perfect work from home outfit is the fact that its comfortable. In my Zoom meetings I look ready to handle business and in the house the set is casual enough to sit at my desk or on the couch and get work done. Plus, if I need to run to the store or post office, I can just slip on flats, my face mask, and serve a cute look.
Now after my Zoom meetings, I’m slipping on a lounge shirt aka sleepshirt. These styles have been my bestfriend. Especially when I’m editing content. I love this statement sleepshirt from Catherines plus sizes. It says let your dreams take flight. When I walk pass a mirror, seeing the statement on this shirt is a pleasant reminder to keep dreaming.
