A few of you on Instagram and Facebook have been asking for style posts on sneakers. Ya’ll love a good heel but some of you are sneaker heads. While I am not really into sneakers, I wanted to oblige your requests. Today’s post is all about summer sneakers and the best styles for you to wear. Since I’m not a sneaker head, I tapped one of my oldest friends and sneaker lover to bring you the a roundup of the best kicks to wear this summer. She is known as Shugah Foot. I’m going to let her take over today.
Although we just got over spring, it’s time to get excited for summer. Skirts, short shorts, and crop tops take center stage. Who am I kidding that’s an everyday thing, LOL. I am here for one reason and one reason only. I’m here to prepare you for the sweet kicks needed for summer.
Below are my top 3 styles of summer sneakers (you could know more about what are sneakers and the different types here) every girl should have in her wardrobe. This may go fast or slow but that depends on you and how you feel about your kicks. Me, Myself, well my Shhugarfoot goes into nothing unless its SWEET.

1. Classic All White Sneakers
Every girl needs a pair of all white classic sneakers for this time of year. The most common are Nike downtown’s – AKA Airforce Ones. An all white summer sneaker is a true must have. Chances are, by the end of the summer they would be wrinkled up so they would need to be replaced immediately. You should keep these in your closet year round. If Nike downtown’s aren’t your cup of tea there are many other options out there like Reebok low top classics , K-Swiss, Stan Smiths, even Puma is also one of many.

2. Colorful Comfort Shoe
This is the type of summer sneakers that would be worn at Amusement parks, on VAYCAY, shopping trips or just whenever you want because it is your shoes. Comfort sneakers may not have laces. I like to call them NAKED KICKS. You don’t even remember that you have them on your feet. Let me show you what I’m talking about.

3. THE STATEMENT Sneaker
These are the kicks that you treat yourself to because you work hard or you just couldn’t pass them up. In my case, I can’t pass these up for my go to summer sneakers. Retros are luxury brand sneakers. When you open the box you say to yourself, I had no right, but I just had to have them. LOL! You convince yourself that they were worth it. Wearing retros just makes you feel happy.
In my case I like Retro Jordan’s and Foamposites. The real retros. Not the retro’s that I didn’t wore when I was younger. The mid 90’s. I remember how hard I had to save and wait to get them (nothing like nowadays when they are sold out in like a day or two).
