Now that we are officially in holiday season mode, everyone’s looking for something fabulous to wear to upcoming holiday parties. If you’re one of those people then you may want to checkout Torrid’s new holiday collection. Torrid X Sylvia Mollie. Which is desgined by Kenya Freeman. If Freeman’s name sounds familiar to you, it should. The Norfolk, Virginia native was a season 16 fashion designer contestant on Project Runway.
Kenya is known for her innate use of bold prints and bright colors. Which she showcases in her Sylvia Mollie brand. Within the past year Kenya has done a couple of collaborations with other fashion brands. However, this partnership with Torrid is one to remember. Kenya is one of few POC designers that has collaborated with Torrid. In the plus size fashion realm, Torrid is a leader and innovator. So a partnership between the two makes great fashion sense.
Kenya’s Sylvia Mollie brand and Torrid offers a medley of feminine and statement pieces. And its filled with classic silhouettes. When asked about working with Torrid, Kenya says,
“Torrid is the leader in the plus industry and I absolutely love Liz so I jumped at the opportunity to partner together.”
“Color-blocking, feminine silhouettes, bold colors – especially deep, emerald green and a print are my signatures. This capsule reflects my personal style and what I love to wear during the holiday season and I can’t wait to see how the Torrid consumer rocks the pieces”
