Introducing the relaunch of Kin By Kristine Thompson
At one point plus-size fashion was thriving. From indie brands to large retail stores making clothes in a full plus-size range. However, something has shifted. Plus-size fashion began to face a drought. With independent brands shutting down to the decline of size inslusivity, its been pretty challenging to find cute clothes for larger women. Especially within the past three years.
Which is why a brand like Kin By Kristine is very much needed. Founder Kristine Thompson is a popular content creator who has amassed over one million followers on Instagram alone. Back in 2019 she first launched Kin By Kristine to rave reviews and even created a few cult classic pieces, such as her CRVY tees.
After shutting the brand down for a few years, Kristine has relaunched her namesake brand. This relaunch is making a statement and proving a point to the fashion industry. On an Instagram post Thompson wrote:
“We were never the problem. The clothes were. For more than a decade, women have asked me how to make clothes work for their bodies. Then I realized-we were solving the wrong problem. So, I built what I couldn’t find.”
The relaunch is bigger and even more size inclusive than the 2019 launch. The reimagined collection ranges in sizes 10-32. And it features a medley of fun and flirty skirts, tops, chic dresses, and matching sets.
In addition, the pieces in this collection are thoughtfully designed to highlight and celebrate fuller bodies. This is for plus-size women who don’t want to look fumpy or bland. It’s a youthful and modern collection that offers classy styles that can take you from day to night.
This fall collection is filled with the styles that plus-size women actually want to wear. No florals or ganny looking pieces in site. The collection launches September 9th. Right at the beginning of New York Fashion Week. And just in time for fall.
One of the best parts is that it actually features plus-size models. Models that represent the majority of women in the United States.
