Here’s a breakdown of Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s style.
The first time I saw Da’Vine Joy was when she played Lady Reed in the Dolamite remake with Eddie Murphy. I was enamored by her performance. I started following her on social media and fell in love with her style. I’ve been following her career moves and plus size style ever since.
Her current stylist’s Wayman and Micah have been creating jaw dropping red carpet looks. Frankly, they just don’t miss. Every look has been a banger.
Today, Da’Vine Joy Randolph won her first Oscar and she gave an amazing speech. One that probably hits home for many of us. Da’Vine said, ” For so long I’ve always wanted to be different. And now I realize I just need to be myself.”
One thing Da’Vine is going to do is represent for the plus size women. For the 2024 Annual Academy Awards Da’Vine wore a custom Louis Vuitton gown by Nicolas Ghesquiere.
Her road to this monumental moment gave us some amazing red carpet outfits to drool over. We love her stylists ability to give us dramatic glamorous outfits and chic dressy casual looks.
Although many of Randolph’s red carpet looks are custom made by top designers in the world, she also wears brands that are accessible to plus size women. Such as Eloquii, Hanifa, and Mara Hoffman.
One of the biggest complaints from the plus-size community is that we don’t get to see our fave actresses wearing plus size designers. So, I can appreciate that her stylist mixes up her wardrobe by using plus-size and size inclusive brands.
Today we are sharing some of Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s style on the red carpet. In no particular order. Just our faves.
