Hey curvy girls all over the world,
It’s been a minute since I’ve shopped a junior plus size brand. One of the reasons why, is that sometimes those junior plus size clothes just don’t fit over my womanly curves and rolls. Junior plus size is made for teens and tweens and the cuts are more straight. I used to be a fan of Forever 21 plus and Fashion to Figure but since I’ve packed on the pounds, I had to stop shopping them because they no longer fit. When it comes to dressing my body, I personally believe in my clothes fitting and flattering my body. I just can’t get with the too tight and rolls spilling over and out. I just can’t do it captain.
Recently, I was contacted by Fashion to Figure to try out some of their denim. I was a little skeptical for reasons listed above, but I thought hey, why not. I have nothing to lose. After they sent me the jeans, my mouth flew open because they fit. I just knew they were going to be too small. Since the jeans fit, I said, let me go visit the site and just see what other styles I could squeeze all this body into. I thought maybe they changed their sizing and they did. I followed their sizing chart and ordered accordingly.
All I have to say is that I am so happy that I went to the site. I ordered about 6 pieces and every last one of them fit and I mean, they fit comfortably. No rolls hanging, nothing pulling. Everything laid on my body they way it was supposed to. My favorite two pieces were an army green moto jacket and black body con midi dress.
Army green is a huge fall trend right now and Fashion to Figure’s Gemma Moto jacket is a great transitional fall piece. You can dress it up or down.I accessorized the look with a pair of leopard print sandals, an orange tote, and gold cuff.
For makeup, I went with a warm golden brown eye look and a fuchsia lip
I loved how the jacket just gave me a perfect fit. I probably could have sized down for a fitted look but I liked how the jacket neatly draped over the dress.
You really can’t go wrong with a body con dress but lately my gut has not been my friend. I like how this simple midi body con dress glided over my body. Of course, I had to slip on my handy dandy girdle to smooth things out and snatch up my gut. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, right?!
I plan on doing a haul on the other items I got from Fashion to Figure. I am so glad that they changed their sizing. They still fall in the junior plus category but at least the sizing now accommodates women like you and me who have a little more well, a lot more meat on our bones.
This was a perfect outfit to greet the fall season.
What do you guys think?
