Hey curvy girls all over the world,
People are always trying to tell plus size women what they should and shouldn’t wear. There are so many fashion rules that it can make a person hate their body. I for one don’t always subscribe to certain fashion rules. I honestly wear what I like and what I think works best for my shape. While there are certain style tips that can help you find flattering pieces, I make sure I don’t get caught up in the do’s and dont’s. I break fashion rules all the time.
In addition to breaking fashion rules, I like to show people how they can do it with ease. Some people think that plus size women should not expose too much skin. We are often told to not wear white. In addition, we are told not to wear wide leg pants because it will make us look bigger. When it comes to those rules, I defy them all. I believe plus size women can pull off any style and trend if they find the right fit and cut for their body type.Ruffle Top, Wide Leg Pants, Yellow clutch, white sandals
Recently, I found a few pieces at Lane Bryant from their spring launch. I spied a pair of wide leg pants in white and knew I needed them in my wardrobe immediately. To many, white wide leg pants can be scary. However, if you rock wide leg pants with a body skimming or fitted top, you create a balanced shape.
Gingham, ruffles, and off the should are three popular spring trends. I am here for them all. On Lane Bryant’s site, I found this ruffled off the shoulder gingham top and thought it would look good with the wide leg pants. The print and color of the top flattered my skin tone.
I wanted to add a little pop of color with the white so I added a yellow bow clutch. As for accessories, I went with a gold watch, ankle strap sandals, and a leaf ring.

People will always have something to say about what you wear. Honestly, you can’t follow them up. This is one of the reasons, I love Lane Bryant’s This Body campaign. You decide what’s best for your body and what its made to do.
