Hey curvy girls all over the world,
The plus size fashion industry has grown so much with new designers and retail brands that I think we often forget all about the brands that were holding us down from the beginning. I for one have been guilty of that. So, last month I decided to checkout one of the pioneers in stylish plus size clothes, Lane Bryant. It’s been almost a year since I’ve gone to the Lane for anything other that Cacique bra’s. Over the past year Lane Bryant has really been stepping up their style game. From designer collabs to just their overall exclusive designs, they’re showing that they can keep up with the trends.
One day while I was cruising the net, I decided to go on their site and checkout what they had. There were two pieces that caught my eye. A striped fitted dress and a pink ponte knit biker jacket. You guys know what I do when I see something I like. I snatch it up with the quickness.
I didn’t plan on wearing them together but when the pieces arrived in the mail and i tried them on. I thought they looked pretty damn cute as an ensemble.
I thought the pieces would make for a great desk to dinner look. So, at work I wore the jacket and grabbed my Marc Jacobs oink and purple bag for a sophisticated look. However, to edge up the look a bit, I added a pair of black gladiator style sandals from Vince Camuto, so I could take the jacket off for dinner and drinks. The shoes and dress together gave off a chic subtle sexy vibe.
I loved the look so much that I went back on the Lane Bryant site to see what other goodies I could get. Um, did you see that Lela Rose collection. Oh yeah! Anywho, what do you guys think about this look?
