Like it or not, Tess Holliday has truly broken barriers and opened doors for models above a size 16. People think that plus size women should not be celebrated. Especially when it comes to being on the cover of a magazine. Tess has pushed the envelope and shown that Plus size women are magazine cover worthy. This month she graces Nylon magazines beauty issue.
I’ve been in the blogging fashion industry for almost a decade and I have seen Tess’s career sky rocket. She gets a lot of negativity for her size but she has represented for plus size women through all the mean comments. In her interview with Nylon’s Editor in Chief Gabrielle Korn, she opens up about her sexuality, being marginalized, and cancel culture. You guys may remember a couple of years ago, Tess was on the cancelled list due to some shady dealings with t-shirts.
Since then, Tess had forged on and continues to grab magazine covers and model for some of the top plus size fashion brands. Tess has not only proven that she is a bonafide model, she is also a body positive activist. You can read more of Tess’s Nylon magazine interview HERE.
For her cover feature Tess is wearing a City Chic and Torrid swimsuit.
