Hey curvy girls all over the world,
This is probably one of the best times in yearsssssss to shop for plus size clothing. We now have numerous options to get our hands on stylish plus size clothing. As the body positive movement continues to grow, we are seeing more brands become size inclusive. Now, both straight and plus size women can shop some of the same brands. We are even seeing more UK based brands expand their sizing for both straight and plus sizes. UK plus size brand Elvi just launched a new size inclusive body positive campaign collection for women sized 8-28 (UK sizes) and 4-24 (US sizes).
During the last couple of weeks in January, Elvi created campaign teasers on their social media about their #everyBODY campaign. Elvi’s mission with this campaign is to not allow size to dictate their design. This is a new beginning for the UK brand because they are designing the same clothes for the same price for US sizes 4-24. Most brands who claim to be size inclusive offer a complete different set of styles for their plus size customers than they do for their straight size customers. It’s actually one of the most frustrating things about brands who go the size inclusive route.
Elvi’s new collection features models with different body types to show how their pieces can work for everyone. One of the models Elvi features in the campaign is plus size advocate Enam Asiama. Enam doesn’t have the typical plus size model physique. However, she represents a body type that many plus size women can identify with.
The #everyBODY collection is made up of on trend pieces like a midi faux leather skirt, oversized hoodie dress, tulip shearling coat, and a crochet knit jumper dress. You’ll also find classic pieces with a twist like an organza flare sleeve blouse, knit biker jacket, and cozy chunky knit sweaters.
