70’s Chic In High Rise Denim

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

For the past two weeks, we have been all about denim. We first shared with you the best 2015 plus size denim trends (read HERE) we then shared with you, the best jeans for your shape (read here) and today, I figured, I would share with you my personal favorite denim trend, which is high rise jeans, and how I rock them.

I have always been a fan of high-rise jeans. I just love how they hold you up and in like a girdle. Last year I found my perfect pair of high-rise jeans at Fashion To Figure. They had the right amount of stretch and the three button waist locked in my tummy. I figured since 70’s style is back this fall season, I would create a look that was inspired by the 70’s but looked more modern.IMG_7069 (2) (800x753)To create my 70’s inspired look I went for one of my favorite styles, a tie neck blouse. If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, then you know how much I love tie neck blouses. We recently did an article on them (read HERE). A tie neck blouse is so 70’s chic. You can wear it with any and everything. I found this bordeaux colored style over at Eloquii.IMG_7076 (2)

I accessorized my look with a tan tote from Simply Be and a pair of leopard print ankle strap sandals I scored from an ASOS sale a few months back. IMG_7073 (2) (1024x997)That’s how I rock my high rise denim. IMG_7070 (2)
