When it comes to my personal style I tend to go for belted waists, wrap silhouettes, and body skimming styles. Rarely do I go for voluminous pieces. Whenever I do, my first thought is to belt it. This summer I challenged myself to break out of my comfort zone and go for looks that don’t require a belt or have a body skimming silhouette. To be honest, the challenge wasn’t so easy for me. Most times I’m concerned with looking shapely. However, I think I’ve found some really cute pieces that take me out of my comfort zone.
One style I’ve been loving is wide leg pants. You guys know its all about skinny leg pants and jeans for me. Wide Leg pants are a style that I think works really well for me. In addition to wide leg pants, I’ve been loving matching sets. They are perfect for creating multiple looks with just two pieces. Recently, I found a wide Leg matching set that isn’t form fitting but its so chic.
Striped Crop Top, Striped Wide Leg Pants
I found this wide leg pant set from the new plus size brand called Soncy. They go up to a size 32 and they have cute and trendy clothes. When I spied this set on their site, I knew I had to have it. I was skeptical about it because of the pants were very voluminous and so was the top. Having big boobs always makes me want to steer clear of anything that’s going to add volume to them. Nonetheless, I still ordered the set. When I put it on, I was so distracted by its cuteness, I didn’t even think about the volume it added to my body.
I loved the layered ruffle crop top with the pants. I think it works and actually creates a nice balance. I paired it with white sandals to compliment the pink and white stripes. I can break the set apart and wear the top with jeans and the pants with a t-shirt.
What do you guys think about this look?
Also, make sure you checkout Soncy for on trend plus size clothing in sizes 10-32.
