I’ve been hearing about Quince plus size clothing since last year. Most reviews I saw were on Instagram. And the focus was on their quality well made basics. Quite a few people said, they were plus size luxury on a budget. So, I put them on my list of clothing brands to try out. Fast forward to this year, about a month ago. Quince reached out and asked if they could send me a few pieces and I said yes. They allowed me to pick out five different styles.
When I went to check their site out, I didn’t realize that they offered more than clothing. Quince is a full fledged lifestyle brand. Offering everything from women, men, and kids clothing to home goods, furniture, shoes, accessories, and luggage. They even offer organic coffee.

It was a pleasant surprise to see that they are a sustainable clothing brand too. Quince says, “We choose organic materials, environmentally conscientious packaging and ethical business practices.”
And this is all done and being sold at an affordable price. They’re able to keep their prices lower than the competition because they believe, “Everyone should have access to nice things. We keep prices low by using a factory-direct model that cuts out the supply-chain middlemen and reduces costs.” Says, Quince.
I checked out their plus size section and saw Quince offers plus sizes from a 1X-3X. While browsing, I found a bevy of silk skirts and dresses priced under $100. There were plus size cashmere tops for $50. IN PLUS SIZES! The looks were very much giving, quiet luxury for plus size women.

After browsing the plus size section, I realized that the options were significantly less than their women’s section. Which was disappointing. The regular women’s section had more dress and skirt options. As well as better color options. Many of Quince’s plus size clothing came in neutral colors like black, grey, and ivory. While the women’s section had a medley of red’s, blues, and yellow’s.
However, I kept searching. After picking out my 5 pieces they arrived within a week and I tried everything on and even came up with a few plus size summer outfits with them.
Below is a breakdown of what I picked out and how I felt wearing them.
My Quince Plus Size Clothing Review & Try On
Typically I am a size 24 or 3X in bottoms and a size 2X or 22 in tops. My height is 5ft 8in.
100% Mulberry Silk Skirt, $69.90

My favorite piece. For this skirt to be 100% silk, it has some give. I was worried about the fit because silk doesn’t have any stretch. My fear was that the skirt would be too tight around the hips and rear. To my surprise the 3X fit me perfectly. Also, the waistband is elastic. Which was helpful in making the fit comfortable around my waist.

Plus it’s washable silk. Which meant I didn’t have to be delicate with it. As for the quality, the skirt felt soft and silky against my skin. It’s slightly sheer and very lightweight. I think the quality was good and I can see the skirt still being in good condition after a few washes and wears. However, I can honestly say, I think the skirt should’ve been priced at $59.90.
Note: I am wearing shapewear under this skirt.
Tencel Rib Slip Dress, $59.90

I absolutely loved this dress. It’s very stretchy. And the stretch bounces back. I got the 3X in it and it’s a perfect fit. The straps are adjustable. The hem flares out into a flute shape.

With this one, I had to wear shapewear because the fabric does show your cellulite if you have it. It exposed all my lumps and bumps. So, I wore something underneath to smooth it out.
100% Organic Cotton Maxi Skirt, $49.90

This is a very comfortable and generously cut skirt. It has an elastic waistband. As well as an A-line cut. I wish this did come in plus sizes, but the biggest size is an XL. And that’s what I’m wearing. I was so glad it fit. And that it fits comfortably. There is no stretch throughout the skirt, except in the waistband.

I’m 5ft 8in tall. It hits me at the ankle. Which is a great length for heels or flats. I had room in the hips and rear. This is a 10/10 fit for me. And this skirt has pockets.
Mongolian Cashmere Crew Neck Tee, $54.90

Pleasantly surprised at the quality of this cashmere top for the price. You can get a top like this at J.Crew or Banana Republic for almost double the price. This felt soft against my skin. And it also has stretch. I felt like this one has the potential to stretch out if not cared for properly.

I suggest getting your true size to avoid it looking too loose and baggy. The sleeve length was perfect too. I covered up the largest part of my arms without feeling too tight.
100% Organic Cotton Oversized Cardigan, $59.90

This one was nice and chunky as well as cozy. However, I wish I sized up to get that oversized fit. I got the 2X and it fit me just right. To get the oversized look, the 3X would’ve been better.
And the ivory color was exact. There’s some stretch. And there’s pockets in the front. This is priced perfectly. Especially because of how thick it is.
The Downside To Quince Clothing
I loved every piece I picked out and tried on. The only downside for me was the LACK of plus size styles. The website states that the plus size section features, “A curated collection of our top styles, now in 1X-3X.”
Which basically means they picked their best sellers and made them in plus sizes. However, it would be nice to make all the pieces they have in women’s for all sizes. There were so many dresses and skirts with brighter colors and prints that were only for women’s regular sizes.

That was really disappointing. Which is why I’m hoping they can expand and include more styles and colors for the plus size girls.
Final Thoughts On Quince Plus Size Clothing
I think this is an excellent brand for quality luxe basics. These pieces were very much work to weekend styles. Everything seemed as if it ran true to size. However, for items with no stretch, you may want to size up.
In addition, the pricing is competitive. This is truly affordable luxe fabrics that most brands would double charge plus size customers for.
I also like that Quince has a Compare section. Where they show you a breakdown of how their price and fabric quality compares to their competitors offering similar styles.
